Blue Nexus #13: Moving Forward

            It was about ten years ago, a moment Kyle liked to forget typically. He was in his neighborhood with his mom and dad, and several other neighborhood kids were there. Most of them were gone now, but the ones that remained after that still seemed to like at Kyle for it. Except for Kip and Luke, who never really bring it up.

            Really it’s not a big deal. Seven year olds often cry in public. But never did their parents have to come over and comfort them while they were with the other kids. It was the sign of a crybaby, someone who wasn’t really cool.

Blackest Night #7-8 Review

Well, we've finally reached the end of "Blackest Night." It's been quite...eventful. I think this part of the review is going to be the easiest simply because of how easily the final two issues flow. When I read through it a first time, I actually felt like I was just flipping through the same comic even back in Issue 5.

For the event, too, it's a very satisfying conclusion that manages to practically save the DCU. I read this way after the New 52 was already a thing, so, learning that these events wrapped up a mere year before the New 52 began is a bit disappointing, but I'll get into that once we get to Issue 8. For now, let's get on with it.

Previously on "Blackest Night:" Zombies and ah crap now the Justice League is all dead and Batman showed up and now NECKRON has raised all of the dead Coast City peeps to fight against the remaining heroes. Luckily, through the power of colorful art, a brand new breed of Lanterns has awoken and is stepping up to combat the evil Black Lanterns in what will be all-out war!

The Flash "Power Outage" Review

Man, talk about Easter Eggs! This episode was full of them!

So, obviously, next week is the big CW event in which The Flash will crossover with Arrow next Tuesday and Wednesday. Which meant that we were all stuck waiting through this episode for next Tuesday, after all the interviews and promos had already been shown, basically.

DBZ Movie 2015 to Feature God Frieza?

So last year, Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods introduced to us the concept of not only the Super Saiyan God, but of there being several other Gods in several other universes within "Dragon Ball." What the heck does that mean?

Well it gives Goku more times to transform, basically.

Still, I really liked "Battle of Gods." It was a nice return to DBZ after a long time of either having to watch Kai or GT on television. While Kai is nice, it seems to lack the filler-humor of DBZ, which was present in "Battle of Gods."

Blue Nexus #12--Black Nexus

            Kyle and Hood Nexus stood motionless as Aequitas finished his tale, Kyle slowly feeling the weight building on his shoulders. He had to kill the Black Nexus, and save the entire universe.

            The universe.

            That thing that nobody on Earth could comprehend in their wildest imagination. That vast expanse of emptiness save a couple of energy balls and rocks floating in it. The universe.

Arrow "Draw Back Your Bow" Review

"It means foreigner. Outsider."

hehehehehe OUTSIDER'S WAR!!

But not really.

This week's Arrow featured another archer coming to Starling City and killing some dudes. Far fewer than before, and leaving not as much of a long-term impact, but at least the villain was somewhat relevant to the overall plot of the episode. This one was a return to the previous story-line of Olicity and seeing if that ship could float.

Long story short: no.

Blackest Night #5-6 Review

Previously on "Blackest Night": Heroes and villains are becoming zombies! Millions of Black Lantern rings have scattered around the universe and are reviving the dead. This has forced our heroes into many awkward conversations with the dead about controversial storylines in the past of the DCU, in particular any regarding the Atom, Jean Loring, and Sue Dibny. Green Lantern was inadvertantly kidnapped by the Indigo Tribe to go off and do his own thing in his own comic to return in a later issue, while the Flash proclaimed Queen Mera and Ray Palmer to be the new Wonder Woman and Superman. Now, our heroes are all coming together to stand against the silly-named villain, NECKRON!
