Power Rangers Ninja Steel Early Thoughts

This season has a lot to prove, for both new fans and longtime viewers. New audiences may be kids finally getting around to watching the series for the first time, or it's kids that saw the Power Rangers movie trailer and heard there's a TV series on air for them to see. Longtime viewers need to be shown that the new Saban era can indeed holds on it's own, since while Dino Charge was a pretty great series, Dino Super Charge dropped the ball hard and fast. 

Koro Sensei Quest First Impression

Assassination Classroom is my favorite comedy anime. It's got a ton of hilarious moments throughout it's two-season run, lots of heart, some great art, good animation, and it's just all around a blast to watch and think about. Koro Sensei and the rest of E-Class had so many great adventures in the original series, and I was sad to see it go. Thankfully, the good people of Japan decided "hey, that series was fun, let's do more with it!" And so, CHIBIS! 

Tales of Zestiria the X First Impressions

This summer's anime have begun, and rather than discuss something with major hype around it (Mob Psycho 100) or a really goofy-looking show (Scar-red Rider XechS) I'm looking at this epic fantasy series because I've been on a real big fantasy kick of late and I'd like to keep it up. Plus this a series by ufotable so you already know the art and animation are going to be top-notch. 

My Hero Academia First Impressions

My Hero Academia (Boku no Hero Academia) is the most hyped and biggest anime of this Spring season. It won't be the longest running, but man oh man have people been talking about this one for a while. Leading up to the launch a couple weeks ago, Funimation was running a big event on their website and with some other anime YouTubers. It's a series about super-heroes, and its manga has skyrocketed into fame already. 

"Dagashi Kashi" First Impression

So the new season of anime is upon us. This one, Dagashi Kashi wasn't at all on my radar when it started. Titles like Divine Gate, Dimension W, and some new seasons of established IPs like Assassination Classroom or something like Fairy Tail Zero--which is technically filler, but is something of a prequel...ah whatever.
