Strongest Disney Characters

You would think that most of the villains on this list would be villains. In fact, only two of them are. It seems that Disney villains are so OP (over-powered) all of the time, but really, it's just that an odd circumstance worked in their favor. The evil Step-Mother is nothing is Cinderella's father never died. The Evil Queen wouldn't know a thing about Snow White if not for the Mirror.

Plus, I'm not talking about strength of character, or strength of story arc. I mean power, like if you can build a giant castle or break a planet in half. I know Disney would never break a planet in half, but, I also never through they would make a princess movie where a prince is not the plot line. Funny how that works.
So yes, this is a list, in no order, about the most powerful Disney characters. I'll start with some honorable mentions:

Hades: He should be on the list, but, Disney's downplaying of him being a god of an entire realm really killed his potential. He was too comical, and he didn't do enough powerful things to really impress me. He did have the power to summon Titans, but, compared to the other Gods, even Hercules the demigod, he just did not seem that strong.

Scar: Scar was an old man that was still able to hold his own against Simba. Granted, Simba spent much of his life acting like a hippie and hardly worked out (plus, Nala beat him up, like, what the heck), but still, he should be able to beat up an old man. Scar, though, may not have had so much physical prowess as he did military, which can kind of make up for it. I mean if after all that time you don't rebel, you just leave out of fear, that means you have a very powerful dictator on your hands. Scar definitely fit that bill.

I also won't put Jafar on the list simply because he was only strong once he got the Genie power and his little Jedi-mind tricks never worked on anyone that was smart. Come on, the Sultan was not very smart at all, he was just jiggly. Plus, I just thought he was easily breakable, like his staff.

So here we go, then, starting with another Aladdin character:

The Genie: What is there to say? He is so freaking powerful. Grant any wish? Become anything you want? That's power worth respect, which Aladdin hardly has at first. That dumbfounds me now, as does still the limitless power the Genie has. Okay, he has some restraint, but, that isn't on his power, it's on himself. He chooses not to make people fall in love, it was a rule he put on himself. Could he if he wanted to? Absolutely. He could even give someone else his power without sacrificing his own. Being bound by a lamp hardly stopped him, too, especially when he was set free. Having a god-like creature roaming the Earth is not a very pleasing thought, to be honest.

Elsa: At first I thought she was just a glorified Iceman/ Killer Frost, which I could dig. Then she made an entire castle made out of snow. Um...Iceman? Yes, Elsa is so freaking strong. She froze an entire country, that's something you don't see everyday without a power catalyst of some sort. And she had the power to kill people with one blast of ice due to the ice's magic power in her veins. Again, Killer Frost, maybe? No. Elsa is a very strong character, and is even stronger when you look at how she learned to control it, being able to turn it on and off. Plus she made a cloud that could keep Olaf cold even through the summertime. That's awesome! If it doesn't even drain her powers, that is one incredible piece of magic. Not to mention her magical limits are never explained, but, they have to be fairly high for her to not only sing an amazing song but also make a magic snow castle at the same time

Maleficent: Alright enough chit-chat about these heroes let's talk about some villains. Particularly the one that can turn into a dragon that breathes green fire. Green fire. Yeah, it's gone past just regular fire. I don't care what you say about it just being for animation, because, it still looked cool. And Maleficent almost won. How many villains can say that? Almost all of them until Disney stepped in and had some cop-out reason for ending them. I just want one victory Disney, one. And the Kraken in Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest doesn't count, because he lived. Anyway, back to dragons (pirates come later...Black Flag for the win!). Maleficent only died because the Prince got help from those fairy/ pixies. Maybe she had a little bit of oversight on them, but hey, no villain is perfect. Still, any witch that can turn into a dragon is worth calling one of Disney's strongest characters.

Ursula: Twisted, thoughtful, powerful, and a shapeshifter. Ursula had it all. Really, nothing about her plan failed. When she died, that wasn't part of her main plan, that was what she did not account for. Ursula accounted for everything and every step she took, she succeeded in. Ariel never kissed the Prince, she almost married the prince, she stole Ariel's voice (twice), she revealed who Ariel really was, and she managed to steal the grand power of the sea. Everything she wanted she got; she won in that respect. Sure, she did not account for a sailor actually being athletic (oh, imagine that ya dumby) and getting impaled, but, that was never part of the plan. I'm not sure if I consider her in the top tier as far as actual strength goes, until she gets the trident (it would sort of be like Jafar), but her mind proves over her muscle. Scar never accounted for Simba escaping, which went against his plan of killing him. Ursula took into account the possibility of the Prince falling for someone else, acted, and nearly succeeded.

Triton: Yeah, The Little Mermaid is on here twice, and you know why? Because we actually go to see Triton's power in action. Maybe not through him, it was actually through Ursula, but we did get to see what he was capable of. Unlike Hades, we saw the extent of Triton's power, to be able to create huge maelstroms and completely dominate the sea. Hello? That's strength few things have...besides, you know, the Genie. And if you think about it, Triton is just as strong as Hades since Triton = Poseidon and he is an Olympic God too. But, Hades' full power was not shown, thus not giving proof that he is Triton's equal, and here we are. So any being that has the power to command the entire oceanic world deserves to be called one of Disney's strongest characters. Plus, just look at his beard. Look at it

So those are my thoughts on Disney's strongest characters. Might it change in the future? Probably. We only got Elsa a couple of months ago, and look at the impact she's made. A great impact, and everyone should love Frozen because it is awesome. It would be too difficult, too, to make separate lists on Disney's most powerful heroes and villains just because the power levels are so varied. Scar would not stand a chance against Hades...and almost all of Disney's heroes are girls without power, except like Elsa and the Genie, who still have totally separate power levels. Thus, the lists had to be combined into five almost OP characters.

See you next time!

  1. You have forgotten a few caracters like mickey mouse and the person in night on balD mountain (I forgot his name). They are both extremely powerful and the bald mountain person is considered the strongest villian
