Star Wars: The Last Jedi (SPOILER FILLED) Review

Now that my spoiler-free thoughts on Star Wars: The Last Jedi are out of the way, I can finally really dive into this movie and discuss all my thoughts on what the movie did, didn't, and ultimately revealed. Remember, SPOILERS AHEAD.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Spoiler-Free) Review

Hot off the heels of Disney effectively taking over the film industry, Star Wars: The Last Jedi has released and continues the story of Rey, Finn, Poe, Kylo Ren, and the true her of the Star Wars saga, R2-D2. Within 24 hours of its worldwide release the Internet is already divided on it and after giving it a day to stir, marinate, and finish cooking in my mind, I'm ready to talk about it and not give anything away.

This...will be difficult.

2017: Another Dud Year in Franchise Movies?

The new year is here, and that means we're about to get a heck of a lot of new movie trailers headed our way. And not just for the summer! Thanks to Deadpool, we'll be seeing big-blockbuster releases pretty early in the year. March alone has three movies that might be worth checking out. That's pretty awesome! And I can't wait...well, if it weren't for 2016, and it how it wasn't the kindest year to big franchise movies

2016 Most Anticipated Movies

Oh boy, 2016. The year of sequels, hopes, dreams, and heroes fighting each other. But, hey, what else is new, am I right? This'll also be the year that the cinema takes all my money, because there are seven movies that I definitely will see, and a couple here and there that are on my radar that I'm considering. They might be my "Redbox movies" of the year. But, overall, it's a pretty hype year.

Favorite 2015 Movie (Of What I've Seen)

I feel it's important to note I'm only saying what the best movie I saw this year was based on the films I did manage to go out and see, or just sit around at home and wait to be released. Much to my surprise, I saw quite a few more films than anticipated and for the most part liked each one that I was able to view.

2015 was a very hyped up year for film, particularly film sequels, and I have to say that it didn't disappoint. Every sequel that was released was good, and maybe even better than its immediate predecessor in some cases. Sadly, though, this does make way for fewer original ideas, which is a dying art in Hollywood and is one I would personally like to see come back.


Luckily, I was able to see more movies this year than last year--hence why I had to do a Top 10 list of various trailers from the year. I didn't see many trailers this year, and I've really only been able to give my thoughts on two of the movies I saw this year, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F', so I figured doing a discussion would be fun!

"Darth Vader Annual" #1

I've been a pretty bad boy this year. There's been a major slew of "Star Wars" comics that Marvel has released this year, and so far, I've only ever read one, "Shattered Empire," the only comic prequel to the upcoming Episode VII. So, yeah. Not very good. 

I mean, I tried reading Princess Leia. But that wasn't all that great. And I've for some reason avoided the flagship book Star Wars. 

But with the release of a Darth Vader book, I naturally had to check it out. The new crossover, "Vader Down" began a couple weeks ago, but I also had several books coming out around that time and, I'm sorry, but "Assassin's Creed" takes precedence over "Star Wars," kiddos. Today's book, an annual, allows for free reading. Or, at least, should. 

"Return of the Jedi" Review

Full SPOILERS for film...but if you haven't seen it then what are you waiting for?

Ah, it's nearly here. That great, big, massive event that we've been waiting for all year long. We've been hyped for it for long and now it's finally upon us. That's right. 

Christmas is next week, guys!

Is "Revenge of the Sith"...Bad?

Spoilers for Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith

Am I going to bother you by saying the majority of the "Star Wars" prequel trilogy is pretty bad compared to the majority of the original trilogy? No. You've had fifteen years to hear about that. 

Instead, let's talk about the last live-action film of the franchise until later on in December. The fall of the Jedi and the rise of the Sith. When Sam Jackson lost a hand, robots had hearts, and they really pushed R2 into the limelight of comedy. 

Luke Skywalker is Still a Good Guy...Duh

Ever since that Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer dropped that halted the Internet from momentarily allowing others to watch that same thing, as well as our old whiny hero not appearing on the major promotional poster, people have been clambering that Luke is, in fact, Kylo Ren, or at the very least, a Sith Lord. There have been arguments that Luke secretly turned during Return of the Jedi or that he's feeling remorse over the events that happened or he formed this "First Order" and is now evil for it.

Top 10 Favorite Moments in the "Star Wars" movies

Yes, this includes the prequels.

Since I decided to watch The Empire Strikes Back yesterday, I figured that now would be a pretty good time to countdown my favorite moments in "Star Wars" history. Maybe by the time Episodes 7, 8, and 9 come out these will change, but considering how most of these are some defining moments in the science-fiction genre, it'll be tough to topple them.
