Koro Sensei Quest First Impression

Assassination Classroom is my favorite comedy anime. It's got a ton of hilarious moments throughout it's two-season run, lots of heart, some great art, good animation, and it's just all around a blast to watch and think about. Koro Sensei and the rest of E-Class had so many great adventures in the original series, and I was sad to see it go. Thankfully, the good people of Japan decided "hey, that series was fun, let's do more with it!" And so, CHIBIS! 

Event Fatigue with Marvel is REAL

There's been a lot of things hinted at for Marvel's future with regard to humongous events they have planned. DC has hinted at some plans, and I suppose you could say there's some "event fatigue" with them, too, but with Marvel it seems to be way, way worse. A lot of people would argue that event fatigue has been settled into mainstream comics for a while now, and up until now I didn't really see where they were coming from. That all changed with Civil War II #8. 

Incredible Hulk #1 Review

Ah, the Hulk. The big green, lovable guy that nobody seems to know what to do with. Sometimes he's a superhero. Sometimes he's an intelligent superhero. Sometimes his best friends throw him into space and he comes back and beats all of them in near-mortal combat. Sometimes he dies. Sometimes there's an entire squadron of Hulks. And to think all of this started when the fine folk at Marvel in 1962 just thought "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde was a cool story, let's make that a superhero." Weird how things work out 55 years later. 

Blue Nexus #59 - Decisions, Decisions

Previously in "Blue Nexus:" Despite not agreeing with Kyle and his side, Tania and Andreus agree to go to Magus Forest and see what they're all about. Tania remains unimpressed by the place, when they're beset by Rafael, the evil mage that has mastered all forms of magic, and his Six Pillars of Magic. Rafael takes down Kyle and Brenda in less than ten hits and promises to return soon and claim his rightful magic! 

Deadpool & The Mercs for Money #1 Review

A new year arrived, which means it's time around these blog parts to get into a fresh Deadpool comic! And this time it's actually a recent one, and it's effects are still being felt to this day. Kinda. I'll get into that more with the review, but it's just nice to get a closer-to-modern-day Deadpool than we've had before. And we're in keeping with the theme of multiple Deadpools! Kinda. Lots of "kindas" today, aren't there? 

Attack on Titan: Does Anyone Still Care?

In case you missed it, there was an announcement about a month ago that Attack on Titan would officially be receiving it's second season, after a four-year hiatus. There was finally more material from the season after we got a bootlegged clip what feels like forever ago from what will, presumably, be one of the first few episodes. Fans of the series were dying for more right out the gate, and there is a reason that the anime took so long to get it's new set of legs...but does anyone really care about the series that much anymore? 

2017: Another Dud Year in Franchise Movies?

The new year is here, and that means we're about to get a heck of a lot of new movie trailers headed our way. And not just for the summer! Thanks to Deadpool, we'll be seeing big-blockbuster releases pretty early in the year. March alone has three movies that might be worth checking out. That's pretty awesome!
