Assassin's Creed 5: Where we go next

This has to be a rather quick post, so, I chose to write about a rather quick topic, one that is almost always one my mind, the next location of the console and canon Assassin's Creed 5 game. Now, we have had almost not hints or indications about where this place could be, considering how Ubisoft debunked that list from Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag that we all saw.

We all saw that, right?

My inner fan-boy is crying out for Watch Dogs to tie into Assassin's Creed V, but, should all else fail and Ubisoft really be pulling our legs, I have a suggestion as to where to take the series next.

Julius Caesar's Rome.

The story writes itself! Julius could be one of the First Civilization followers (since they aren't Assassins yet, the middle ages haven't happened, obviously), then, when he leaves before becoming emperor, he decides that he wishes to join a cult that wants to harness the power that the First Civilization left behind (aka start the Templar Order). All the while, you're playing as Brutus, or one of the people who wind up killing old Caesar, and you're figuring out Caesar's plot to become a very powerful human being, kind of like what the Sage or Cesare Borgia were looking to do in previous installments.

This would be a fresh step probably away from all the Sample/ Subject 17 stuff we've been seeing, and could actually be a cool origin to the first human-scaled war between pre-Assassins and pre-Templars.

Plus I've always wanted to see ancient Roman Assassins, and to be able to play that would just be sweet.

So those are my quick thoughts on where the new Assassin's Creed game should be. It's probably a long shot, and I wouldn't mind if we had a game based around either the Russian or Indian Assassin that the graphic novels created, because, again, it would be a fresh step.

See you next time!
