Blue Nexus #46 - Delta Squad

Kyle managed to get to his knees. His head was pounding and there were still some stars floating around in his vision. His jaw felt somewhat out of place, too, but with a quick shift it fell back to normal. He groaned when he stood up.
All of his other senses came rushing at him all at once. The smell of smoke and gasoline blowing down from the bridge. The screams of innocent people having to run from their cars. The clearness of the sight around him, where five powerful new foes stood around Yusero, who was standing alone.

The Flash #1 Review

Besides Titans, I would say that The Flash is the book we'll see get the most change from the big DC "Rebirth" push, mostly thanks to the events of DC Universe: Rebirth #1. The Flash is also one of the books with the most hype around it, thanks to a new creative team and a brand new, never-before-seen villain for this opening story-arc. Add in the fact that The Flash television series is a big hit and the fact that major "Flash" characters are returning/ have a new status quo for us to examine and you've got yourselves a making for a good story. Shame we don't see much of that here.

Gurren Lagann Review

Outside of Rage Against the Machine, Dragonforce, and some epic anime soundtracks, there are few things in this world that can get my blood boiling (insert One Piece: Burning Blood joke here). Thankfully, Gurren Lagann (Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann) is one of those things. While it does have a slower start after a very fast and energetic first episode, each time this series hits it stride it hits it in such a way that you'll be flung out of your seat cheering our heroes on. It's cheesy, bright, has great music, and is really quite one of a kind.

What about Warframe?

I downloaded Warframe back when I first got my X-Box One mostly because it was a free-to-play game and I didn't have many games under my belt for my new system. I didn't play it at all until recently because so many other games came out fast to catch my attention and I just never got around to it. However, in the wake of One Piece: Burning Blood being disappointing and my finishing of Dark Souls III I needed something new to play and now I'm playing Warframe and yeah. I play Warframe and that's it. So, it led me to wonder: how had I never heard of such a HUGE game?

Blue Nexus #45 - A Long Time Ahead

Rather than flying straight to East City and making a scene of everything, Kyle and Yusero instead opted it would just be easier if they drove inconspicuously. Kyle wasn’t even worried about there being repercussions from the Zanderia about wasting time since this was sort of his mission for right now.
Yusero was tempted to drive, Kyle could tell, and it would probably be very simple for him compared to the starships that could soar across galaxies in mere seconds. And Kyle would have let him if he had a license, or some sort of credibility. The risk of being pulled over and Kyle getting in trouble with the law was just not worth it. Plus he knew the way out of town and toward East City, anyway.

Detective Comics #934 Review

DC's "Rebirth" seems to be starting off pretty strong so far, and many of the books people are most excited for are just now starting to come out. This was one of those, for me. The idea of Batman and Batwoman forming a team is great on many levels. It means that we'll get a book where Batman and Batwoman are on a team together in general. It means lower sidekick-type characters will get more attention. And it means there's a big threat out there that requires all of this, and hopefully that threat will provide us some great entertainment. Add on the fact that James Tynion IV, an experienced Batman writer, is on the helm and we've got ourselves the makings of something pretty good.

Towa no Quon Review

Towa no Quon, romanized often to just Towanoquon, is a series of six Japanese anime OVAs released over a period of time in 2011. It is set in the near future with elements of science fiction, fantasy, and even Western super-heroism at points. It's a show that I had never heard of until I saw it on sale online and bought it on a whim. It was getting decent reviews so I figured why not?

"Arrow" Season 4 Review

Ah, Arrow. It's always the best time of the year when this show comes back, and the worst when it has to leave me for the summer to wallow in such thoughts as, "What happens next?" "What will the next flashback sequence entail?" and "Why did you waste the great potential of Komodo?" You know, the important questions. This season we get much more closure than I expected, and it does make this season, more than most others, feel like a pretty complete story...although that doesn't mean it was the best season of the series.
