TV Shows of 2015
A couple weeks ago, I decided to take a quick look at the movies I was excited, or not so much so, for this year, good old 2015, which you can read here. Thus, it's only fair that now (already nineteen days in, can you believe it it's going by so fast) we take a look at some of the TV shows that are either returning or premiering this year.
Now, one of the shows I'll be talking about has already premiered and it's already pretty freaking awesome. What is it?

The 100: "The 48" Review
No more are we split between the Ark and the Earth. With the Kane-led Ark...people...on the ground, now we have two factions on the ground. And, of course, our continuing separate romance with Octavia and ya boy Lincoln. It seems that each significant leader now has their own group to take charge in and show what made them rise through the ranks in season one.

The 100: "Unity Day" Review
Well with most of the known CW shows about to go on a season break, it would appear it is up to its newest entry, The 100 to keep the channel fresh. Sadly, we're closing in on its own season break but then we have the summer and that's for movies, not television. Duh.
Luckily, we keep getting good entries for the series as well as good set-up for what is to come. Character returns, multi-fronted wars, and teenage angst.
All of the angst.

The 100: "Day Trip" Review
This episode managed to show that doing the drugs leads to a lack of production. No duh.
On a more serious note, the visions and the drugs did provide some interesting sight into the minds of the characters as we got to see both their greatest fears and worst guilts, particularly with Bellamy. Some of them were just silly, like Monty trying to figure out a physics equation.

The 100: "His Sister's Keeper" Review
You know at this point I'm not really sure who we're supposed to be rooting for. Finn seems like kind of a bad guy considering how he's messed with two girls now and with no reason behind it. Clarke has sort of faded into the background doing the housekeeping. Meanwhile, Bellamy has gotten a lot of character development and has morphed into a fairly decent leader. Nobody rallies around him like a bunch of primitives anymore. The closing shot with everything established and the walls and what not seems like he has everything under control, something we never thought to see when the season began and the 100 first landed. It's like Bellamy is the hunter and Clarke is the gatherer. At least, that's how it's coming off.

The 100: "Twilight's Last Gleaming" Review/ Thoughts
Well this episode certainly defined what it means to start lame and end interesting. And I'm talking really lame. Though it does kick off right where we left off last week with Finn and Clarke, which is good to see it getting straight to the point, I do have an issue with it going straight to Finn and Clarke because romance. That's pretty much it. It also starts off pretty slow considering how quickly events are unfolding up above on the Ark. I suppose that was a nice contrast, but, still.

The 100: "Murphy's Law" Review/ Thoughts
The CW really is pushing this whole darkness thing on The 100, aren't they? This week's episode was a political, dark story where sides were made, people were banished/ arrested, and hook-ups became a thing, or even, a near thing. While not as intense as the last episode, since there was a big cloud of death that was chasing everybody, this episode felt much more personal and character driven for characters who, while are main characters, have not been as exposed as we would like, i.e. Finn and Raven.

The 100: "Earth Kills" Review
This show just continues to prove itself. Only three episodes in and we're already fairly invested in our main characters, we've already had a major death, and the villain has just been given some pretty major depth. Not only that, but the plot is unraveling quickly. The 100, or now 94, are going to be geared up for civil war meanwhile a threat of unknown strength lingers just outside their domain, not to mention the other secrets that the uninhabited Earth holds for our characters.

The 100: "Earth Skills" Review
Alright so after the pilot it was fairly evident that the CW's "The 100" would have an interesting premise and would definitely be a show to follow. Granted, it is very similar to The Maze Runner, but, I found watching this episode that I rather enjoyed that element about the show.
That said, this episode definitely brought more to the table and upped the stakes on both fronts.
Full spoilers for the episode, by the way.

The 100: "Pilot" Review
It would seem that dystopian teenagers have taken over the world, with books and movies like The Hunger Games and Divergent taking over the world. In fact, it's safe to say teenagers in general have taken over the world with the popularity of the Twilight saga, the Harry Potter series, and the Percy Jackson & the Olympians two series. The main series I'm writing does indeed have teenagers as the focus. So I don't hate it, necessarily. I've just grown bored of dystopia.
