My Hero Academia (Boku no Hero Academia) is the most hyped and biggest anime of this Spring season. It won't be the longest running, but man oh man have people been talking about this one for a while. Leading up to the launch a couple weeks ago, Funimation was running a big event on their website and with some other anime YouTubers. It's a series about super-heroes, and its manga has skyrocketed into fame already.
This is the Word of Sean, a blog featuring fun things dealing with DC Comics, Marvel Entertainment, Valiant Entertainment, the anime industry, and sometimes even Power Rangers! :D Also featuring "Blue Nexus," an ongoing short-story series featuring the antics of a young superhero fighting intergalactic forces of darkness...and unsuccessfully maintaining a social life. Power Rangers: Wild Force Review
Ah, Power Rangers. You silly little franchise you. I've been wanting to do a good review and discussion on the latest series, "Dino Charge," but it's once again on break until late summer. So, why not fill the gap with another series? I've been meaning to check "Wild Force" out for a while now. When I was a kid, this show was my jam. Sure, "Time Force" will always be my favorite, but I had all the stuff for "Wild Force." All the action figures. All the Megazord figures. I even had the Lion Blaster. I pretty much was a Ranger (and I still am darn it). So I was a little worried that, so many years later, a cherished part of my childhood wouldn't hold up. Did it?

The Walking Dead "The Last Day on Earth" Review
*major spoilers for The Walking Dead and this episode follow*
I've never really talked about The Walking Dead on this blog before outside of mentioning the show in my "Top 10 TV Shows" list. It's still there, trust me, but it hasn't left as large an impact on me as it did when I initially posted the list. Usually I'm busy doing either homework or other things right after The Walking Dead airs, or I just don't catch it when it does air, and can't give immediate thoughts. This episode? This episode needs my thoughts. In short: I really liked most of it. The Carol and Morgan bits were boring, but the drive to the Hilltop was insane and Negan is the best thing that's happened to The Walking Dead since the big prison battle in Season 4's "Too Far Gone" mid-season finale.

Blue Nexus #40 - A Strange Case of Quiet
The
locker door slammed shut, jarring him. He could still hear almost all of the
footsteps tapping against the tile floor of the second level. The sophomore
boys who screamed and shouted at each other were so clear he could swear they
stood next to him. The hallway was tight and hot around him. Someone approached
him head on when he leaned against the locker, rubbing his temple.
“Hey,
Kyle, you doing okay?” Mira asked, reaching out for him.

Divine Gate Review
This season of anime has had some pretty pleasant surprises. Dagashi Kashi and Erased both kind of came out of nowhere as the better of the season, while other series making their return like Assassination Classroom are just as good as before. I was hoping that the same case would occur for the anime we have today. Divine Gate is an anime based off a 2013 Japanese smartphone game of the same name, running at only twelve episodes over on Funimation, with both an English Dub and Japanese Sub (broadcast dubs yeah!).

Road to the Justice League: DC's Cinematic Universe
*SPOILERS FOR BATMAN V. SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE*
Originally I was going to post this as a mean to assess how the DC Cinematic Universe stands with the addition of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, but since I'm an idiot, I completely forgot about the second installment, Suicide Squad, we're getting later this year in August. So, since Suicide Squad will likely not involve anything involving the upcoming Justice League: Part One, I feel it's safe to assess things based on this film.
