Comic Book Reviews - May 30, 2018
As one DC weekly series ends, another begins. And in an extra-large extra week of comics, one can only rely on one thing to pull them through all of the insanity: Gorgeous artwork.

Comic Book Reviews - April 11, 2018
While one ninja's new quest begins, one speedster's ends; and where one detective must have a meeting of the minds, a priest finds his mind may not be as clear as he once thought. Mystery and intrigue are about!

Comic Book Reviews - March 21, 2018
This week, Ninjak has to say farewell to a friend (?) while Superman and Spider-Gwen say hello, and I have no idea what to say about Ice Cream Man. There are just some things in life that happen and we move on from, dear readers, and I guess this is going to be one of those.

Comic Book Reviews - March 7, 2018
It's the end of an era for a pair of archers, and one of the most popular duos in comics gets going with a new freaky-deaky Image Comic. All that, more, and through it all you still can't get me to tell you what the heck is going on in The Wild Storm. Some things never change!

Comic Book Reviews - February 21, 2018
This week in comics, we finish things up in Redlands, Florida while beginning a new journey in Yharnam, all during the return of a new Power Rangers villain to go see the Ice Cream Man. Strange how it all connects sometimes.

Comic Book Reviews for January 24, 2018
Many comics this week, including the first Marvel book of 2018, a video-game adaptation, more Ninjak, and Doomsday Clock, which...well, yeah, it's definitely a thing.

Comic Book Reviews - January 17, 2018
We've got an admittedly smaller week ahead of us, with just three comics to look at (would've had only two, but the premise of Ice Cream Man intrigued me to no end). And, once again, no Marvel books. It appears that this streak will end next week, as well the streak of small weeks. But, the benefit of smaller weeks means I have more space to talk about the comics. Let's jump right into things, shall we?

Top 10 Comics of 2017
2017 has effectively come and gone. We came into the year one person and have probably left it a completely different one. It's been an interesting year, especially for me. I've unfortunately (as many readers may have noticed) not been quite as on top of things as I have been in past years. It was a big transitional period in my life this year, and I'm hoping that 2018 will allow me more time to get back to this blog, because I do love writing about various anime, movies, TV shows, and most especially comic books. And if there were always one thing this year I could count on, regardless of quality or quantity, it was my stack of comics week in and week out.
So today, let's check out my Top 10 Series and Issues of 2017.

Halftime Report: 2017 Comics
2016
was an absolutely magical year for comics. Even if you were a Marvel fan for
the back half of the year or a DC fan for the first half of the year, on the
whole 2016 proved to be one hell of a year in terms of revitalizing both DC and
Marvel for some of their stranger characters or concepts. Valiant and Image
continued to see creative success, last year in particular for Valiant
with Ninjak and the two “Divinity” series. So, now that the year is
halfway done, how is 2017 holding up? In short: pretty damn well.

Top 10 Comic Book (Issues) 2016
And so my friends, 2016 hits the homestretch. Christmas is upon us, New Year's Eve is just around the corner, and the big blockbusters have all hit the screens. Oscar-bait movies are finally coming around, snow is hitting everywhere but Florida, and we're all left wondering if The Walking Dead will ever have better ratings again. So let's talk about comic books!

"Wytches" Review
Horror comics (heck, Image Comics in general) weren’t really
a thing I expected to be reading much of this year, given that Image has been
somewhat lacking in recent years. Then I found cheap stuff on Amazon and the
triple threat Warren Ellis-Declan Shavley-Jordie Bellaire took on Injection and here we are now. While Injection isn’t really a “horror” comic,
today’s review certainly is. Have to squeeze a little something extra in for
Halloween, right?
