Dragon Ball Super: Top 10 Tournament of Power Moments
There's a lot that can be digested from the recent finale of Dragon Ball Super, as well as from the show as a whole. But, for now, as we ease our way out of the long-running series and enter yet another Dragon Ball hiatus, it's best we do a little bit of self-reflection on the tournament we've been laying witness to for the better part of half a year.

Top 10 Comics of 2017
2017 has effectively come and gone. We came into the year one person and have probably left it a completely different one. It's been an interesting year, especially for me. I've unfortunately (as many readers may have noticed) not been quite as on top of things as I have been in past years. It was a big transitional period in my life this year, and I'm hoping that 2018 will allow me more time to get back to this blog, because I do love writing about various anime, movies, TV shows, and most especially comic books. And if there were always one thing this year I could count on, regardless of quality or quantity, it was my stack of comics week in and week out.
So today, let's check out my Top 10 Series and Issues of 2017.

Top 10 Favorite Video Games
I wouldn’t say I’m the most avid gamer in the world, but I
do find myself often digging into a game for several hours at a time and not
even realizing it. If a game is great, this is one of the easiest things to do
without realizing. There’s few things better than getting immersed in the world
of a game, or falling in love with some solid gameplay and just having a go at
it. Video games provide an excellent resource for people to just hang out and
have some fun, or take out some sort of frustration *cough From Software games
cough*. And because I’ve been on a bit of a gaming kick recently, I decided
there was little better time to talk about my ten favorite games of all time!

Top 10 Favorite Anime
Anime is a special art-form, there’s no doubt about it. It’s
loved, hated, and mostly given confused looks by fans and non-fans over the
sheer amount of “what did I just watch?” that tends to happen in an anime. In
honor of both the announcement of a new Fairy
Tail anime, which will round out the series starting next year, as well as
this past week of reflection on the series, I figured now would be a good time
to unveil my favorite anime series!

Top 10 Fairy Tail Moments
SPOILERS FOR FAIRY TAIL. LIKE ALL OF IT. NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU, ANIME ONLY FOLK. SORRY.
Fairy Tail is a story. Some think it's good or even amazing, and other think it's bad or even the worst thing put to ink. I fall on the "it's good" camp of things, but adore the show and the manga with my heart. I've got a special connection with the series that I'll share about on another blog post, so there's that bias. But I'm also not one to overlook the absolutely atrocious moments of storytelling, which have sadly plagued this final arc from allowing it to go beyond the Tartaros Arc, which was entirely possible. Still, Fairy Tail is ending this week, for good or for ill, so it's time I spent an entire week discussing this controversial, yet colorful, series.

Top 10 Power Rangers Series
So there's a certain movie coming out quite soon that has to do with 90s nostalgia as well as people taking a novel concept from Japan and contorting it to fit their American needs. Yeah. Ghost in the Shell is happening, kids, and boy...I can wait for that movie. Oh, and Power Rangers or something. Meh.

Top 10 Comic Book (Issues) 2016
And so my friends, 2016 hits the homestretch. Christmas is upon us, New Year's Eve is just around the corner, and the big blockbusters have all hit the screens. Oscar-bait movies are finally coming around, snow is hitting everywhere but Florida, and we're all left wondering if The Walking Dead will ever have better ratings again. So let's talk about comic books!

Top 10 Heroes (Redux)
While I don't want these sorts of Top 10 lists to become an annual thing, in which I go back and make a "redo" list, it is always fun to assess and look back on where I was and what characters have captured and held my attention for so long. Or, rather, what heroes.
The idea of making an anti-hero list has always amused me, and it would not be one too difficult to make. It certainly makes placing characters on this list hard. It can often be a tough line to draw for a heroes and anti-heroes list with me, as characters of late have been in a morally grey area. While there are some very clear good guys on this list, there are also some that you may tilt your head at.
Also, like my previous villains list redo, there will be some repeats on here...though not necessarily in the same order. This list is much different than the one before. With that said, let's get right into it!

Top 10 Comic Issues of 2015 (What I've Read)
I don't feel the need to predicate this final part of my 2015 trilogy with explaining why I need to denote in the title "what I've read"...mostly because it should be obvious that I haven't read every comic that's come out this year. That's basically impossible.
Still, I've got a solid selection here, I feel. I tried to read some pretty good series this year and I think it definitely paid off. There were also several times where I could barely decide between one issue or another. I've also placed a strict rule of only one issue per series, otherwise Justice League would pop up like three times on this list.
As an "honorable mention" of sorts, too, I'll say that the Marvel Original Graphic Novel Rage of Ultron was an incredible story and was the best Ultron story we've gotten in a long time. It was engaging, gripping, had great art, and really made you feel for the robot and his father, Hank Pym, both in the past and in the present.
So, without further ado, let's check out the list.

Top 10 Favorite Movies
On this day last year I did my Top 10 Favorite TV Shows (click the link to check it out), so, this year I figure I would jump straight into the day with my Top 10 Favorite Movies, a list that is actually much harder to compile, as I watch far more TV series than I do movies. However, since I figured out what movies go where on the list, things haven't changed. The same definitely can't be said about my favorite TV shows, where I know things are different.
Of course, as this is a Top 10 list, it's a biased perspective about these movies. Also, these are not the Top 10 "Greatest" movies of all time, simply my favorites. So if there are weird choices you would never think would be on here, well, it's because they're my choice. I can promise you that my Top 10 is probably different than your Top 10.

Top 10 Villains (Revised)
Over a year ago now (dang, son), I created a Top 10 Villains list, which you can read here, that counted down some of the biggest bads I'd seen, or read, in my life. Looking back, though, I noticed that there were a few people I didn't put on the list, for one reason or another, and having gone through another year, I've realized that there are several bad-guys that deserve to either added, moved up, or dropped from the list.
In the time since then, I've grown a lot as a person who understands a good hero and a good villain. But since this month we're focusing on one of the greatest villains of all time, I figured now would be an excellent opportunity to take a look at this revised list. There are some notable changes to last year's, but there are still a few candidates that have stayed where they are.

Top 10 "Fairy Tail" (anime, Series 1) Moments
Well with "Series 1" technically over and the latest part of the anime released in English, I figured there's no better time than to talk about some of my personal favorite moments from the series. There have been a lot and it was tough to make some of the decisions. I've known what my three favorite moments were in order, but everything was tough to decide regarding location. I flip-flopped several many times.
As per usual, this is only my opinion. There may be many moments others think are iconic that I don't necessarily care for or don't like as much. There are also so many that didn't make the list, but, I can't talk about everything. Besides, last year I covered the first three seasons of the show and the movie, and tomorrow I'm reviewing Season 4. I think I've got everything covered!

Top 10 Trailers/ Teasers From 2014
By now a lot of people have put up what their favorite movies, moments, comics, or TV shows of 2014 were. And yeah, I know IGN did a little Top 14 list of their favorite trailers, but I've had this idea since October and don't know which of us had the idea first. I doubt my list is going to be the exact same as theirs anyway, seeing as how I have two anime on my list.
Oh, I should mention something about that, too. This is a list including both movies and TV shows. The catch? It's only the ones I saw purposefully, the ones I remembered. So even if there was this mega awesome trailer that came out, if I didn't see it, it's not on the list. That said, I do think I'm able to cover several awesome trailers in this list, including a few extras.

Top 5 Soundtracks
Music is something in media, or just on it's own, that is something truly magical. It seems often to me that the score, or soundtrack of a movie or TV show can be something that makes or breaks it. If the show's writing and acting is good on its own, then it typically need not be helped by a good soundtrack, such as a show like Arrow. It's not something you would go and download off of iTunes, because you're not there for the music. You're there for Oliver Queen not failing the city!
Alright, Arrow reference is out of the way, let's continue.

Top 10 Favorite TV Shows
It's a topic I've wanted to discuss for a long, long time. Probably ever since I created that Top Ten Comic Book Movies list (which you can read here). I would say it's the hardest list for me to come up with, but, actually, that falls under the movie category. So if you ever see that, prepare your popcorn!
Okay how many readers did I lose with that pun?
Still here?
Then let's move onward!

Top 10 Favorite Moments in the "Star Wars" movies
Yes, this includes the prequels.
Since I decided to watch The Empire Strikes Back yesterday, I figured that now would be a pretty good time to countdown my favorite moments in "Star Wars" history. Maybe by the time Episodes 7, 8, and 9 come out these will change, but considering how most of these are some defining moments in the science-fiction genre, it'll be tough to topple them.

Top 10 Comic-Book Movies
The industry has evolved to the point where sometimes it doesn't even feel like a comic book movie. They can be legit, Oscar-nominated movies that are analyzed by the same people who look at dramas. Luckily, filmmakers are dedicating themselves to these projects to make them not-so campy or dumbed down.

Top 10 Arrow Episodes (through Season 2)
Now that the CW's Arrow is really behind us, and we look forward to a pretty dull summer TV schedule, it's time to look back properly and with a very clear mind on what the fantastic super-hero drama action has brought us the past two seasons. There are 46 episodes to choose from, some not so great. But what's the fun in focusing on those? Today we are here to discuss my top ten favorite episodes of Arrow, each filled with great dosages of drama, action, and not failing the city.
Spoilers, duh, by the way

Top 10 Favorite Female Characters
But times have changed since those days long past. Now women are getting leading roles, and female characters are being allowed to shine. Heck some movies, like Sucker Punch, are all about women being the heroines. Disney sort of crippled the female character by introducing the idea of the princess, which is "I don't have to do anything but be pretty and the male will eventually come swoop me off my feet" until movies such as Mulan, Tangled, and most recently Frozen mocked this idea and empowered their female characters...often literally giving them powers.

Top Ten Villains
I've done a heroes list, and now, it's time to stop messing around. It's time for the heavy hitters. The guys you love to hate, if you're like me, you actually like these characters a lot just because of how incredible they are. Some of them are flat out overpowering and some of them are flat out messed up, but one thing is common for all of these villains: they gave their opponents a run for their money, and most of them nearly succeeded in their quest for power, vengeance, or just flat out chaos.
Now it is time to look into the eye of the enemy and see what it is I like about them so much, starting off, of course, with my
Honorable Mentions
