Blog Update: Summer 2018

It's that good ol' time of year again: when the Sun is scorching, the beaches are full, and when you really just don't want to get in your car that's been basking in sunlight for the last eight hours. Also all the kids are on break so hey, no school, tons of fun.

But it is not just the schools that are summer break this year, it's also this blog! Much as it does pain me to stop a good train while it's rolling, I also think it'd be insane for me to put out what I normally would over the next two months. I think that by the time we'd need to kick things into high gear again I would be creatively bankrupt and that just sounds terrible.

Blog Update: Winter 2018

So last year was a bit...sporadic. Quite different, I'd also add. There were notable omissions from this little blog here, as well as some heavy delays to some once-tightly scheduled publications, as well as a seemingly random schedule of releases when it came to some reviews or content in general. 2017 certainly didn't make it easy for me to get around to this, but after spending some time thinking about how to handle the blog moving forward, I think I know what direction to take things moving into 2018. And, if everything pans out like I'm hoping it will, then there's some pretty exciting stuff coming down the tube.

Blog Update #8: MAGIC YEAH

Well the school year for most students is just around the corner (be it a week or a month...or a few months if you're into that kind of thing, can't blame you) and we're back to the old grind here. The schedule is going to be tight and, as always, subject to change, but this time I feel like I'm bringing more observation to the table than regular reviews. There are a lot of major events happening in the entertainment world in the coming world, so, may as well talk about them.

Blog Update #7: The Long Summer

Well friends, we've reached the point where the weather will warm, the theaters will fill, and the wallets will mysteriously empty and by August we'll all look back and think, "Wait what?" Also: BLOG UPDATE!

Blog Update #6 - Winds of Spring

You know, these blog updates are really getting out of hand in how unreliable they are. At least, the last one was pretty bad. Promised a whole month of AXIS and hero and villain stuff and hero inversions...and I got about a third of what I wanted out of it. All of the hero inversion, in "Blue Nexus" was pretty much done in December, too.

Blog Update #5: Halloween/ November Event

Ah, October. The best month of the year. At some points, the busiest. At others, the most relaxing. I've gone into detail why October is the best, in an actual blog post, so I don't feel the real need to divulge the reasons behind it. Needless to say, though, the entertainment industry really starts to kick into gear around October/ November, and this year is certainly no exception.

In November, one of the most anticipated games (probably) ever is coming out in Star Wars: Battlefront and later this month we'll see a new Supergirl series, which I'm very optimistic about. I love Supergirl and this adaptation so far seems like it'll take good care of the character.

Blog Update #4--ULTRON!!

Hey so guess what guys it's about to be April and you know what that means?

Fate/Stay Night is coming back! Easter! JELLY BEANS! But most importantly of all, we are simply that much closer to the movie with all da hype, Marvel's the Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Thus, to cash in--er, I mean celebrate!--the movie bringing everyone's favorite psychotic robot overlord to the big screen, I felt it appropriate to try and focus as much as we could on Ultron. After all, he is one of the greatest villains in comics, and this is going to be one heck of a big movie.

Blog Update 3: New Year, New Rules, New Reviews

So, yeah, my schedule for blogging has been sort of whack the last month. Reminds me a lot of how it was before I even developed a schedule. But that's only because school got hectic and then having to review Arrow and The Flash often meant I was writing/ posting things all in one day as well as working on Wednesday nights. Not only that, but I'm sure you noticed that I stopped blogging weekends (including Friday) and "Blue Nexus" has been gone for the whole month of December. So, what the heck bro?

Blog update #2--A schedule?!

I didn't expect to be giving another update so close to a first one, but, as is life.

With the coming onslaught of school and work I've kind of figured out that being able to juggle life and a blog all at once with no clear direction is going to be difficult. Obviously I've got schedules for school and work (because, duh) but as far as my writing goes there is no clear schedule for it.

As such, I went ahead and constructed a schedule for my blog, as this way I'll be able to have ideas already generated and get started on them so that over time I'll be able to write them up and then simply upload them by the deadline, almost like a video. Hopefully this will result in better, more coherent posts rather than starting off with one idea and then quickly becoming a bunch of rambling about whatever.

Blog Update #1--Out of Ideas? Well uh...

Lately I've been struggling with ideas of what to write/ blog about. I believe that part of the reason is due to the fact that I've been out of school for three months now, the longest drought I've ever experienced, and without much to do this summer my brain kind of shut down and only showed up a few times when it felt like it/ when it was watching Attack on Titan. I also believe it is due to a lack of creative inspiration on my part and with the coming year I'm hoping to see an increase in that.
